Sebree, KY

The First Baptist Church in Sebree, KY has an amazing setup open to
bikers. Couches, shower, kitchen, tv, all really nice.

Today was 72.9 miles.

Falls of Rough, KY

I had a late start out of Bowling Green but made it 54.4 miles to
Rough River Dam State Park before dark. It's supposed to rain pretty
good tonight and tomorrow.

Next Time-zone, Tanner, and More!

Yesterday I went 68.3 miles croosing into central time. I got to stay
with my friend Tanner at WKU in Bowling Green, KY. I met a ton of his
friends who were all way cool. I also got to do laundry, get a new
bearing for my rear wheel hub, and mail some stuff back home to
lighten my load.

Thanks again Tanner for having me. If nothing else getting to see old
friends has already made this trip worth it.

Abe's Hometown

Just got to Hodgenville, KY. 51.1 miles. This is where Lincoln was
born, where they let you camp free at their park, and where you can
get all you can eat Chinese food for $7.

Catching Z's

It was nice out and I was lazy so I figured I'd try out a night
without the tent, so I just spread out on this picnic table and caught
some z's.

Springfield, KY

No Evergreen Terrace. Camping free at Lincoln Homestead State Park.
70.8 miles.

TV

Lexington was a blast. I finally watched Arrested Developement.

Lexington Detour

Went a little off route. 83.3 miles and I'm at a Cici's in Lexington.
Staying with friends of a friend tonight.

1000+ Miles

Made it to Booneville, KY. And at 63.5 miles that puts me at a grand
total of 1006.4 miles so far.

A Must Stay

Me and David Smith founder of the Knott County Historical Society in
Hindman, KY. Very hospitable especially to bikers. A must stay on the
Trans Am.

Hindman, KY

Well it rained all day and the bike hostel I was heading for closed
down. On top of that I hit 4 serious climbs. Not the best day, but
after 71.3 miles I made it to this great B&B. And David Smith who is
the caretaker of the Hindman Historical Society B&B was kind enough to
let me stay inside out of the rain.

Kentucky

Crossed into Kentucky. After NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, and VA thus is my 6th
state. Should take about 10 days or so. Looking forward to seeing some
friends.
